Aubrey is given command of her when the war restarts after the Peace of Amiens. Nicknamed "The Carpenter's Mistake": originally designed as a vessel for launching a massive rocket (a kind of super bomb-vessel) she has "two sharp ends", her stern being tapered to allow her to cope with the recoil from the rocket launcher.
She is an extremely poor sailor, making immense leeway, and her carronades have virtually no range. Moreover she is unsoundly built, coming from the yards of the notorious profiteer Hickman. Runs aground in the attack on Chaulieu, is hammered by the port's batteries, and though refloated, sinks in the Channel. (Post Captain)
